Unknown Raspberry Disease #874663

Asked June 25, 2024, 3:51 PM EDT

I have bought and planted 7 varieties of zone appropriate raspberry plants for my home in Prineville. We planted our plants 3 years ago and have at least two of 14 plants with a disease that has caused the leaves to curl. These were purchased from a local nursery (Madras) that only stocks climate appropriate plants. The bit of research we have done leads us to believe we did to dig up the infected plants and dispose of them by burning. Any other ideas? We now know that we likely did not amend the soil enough before we planted. We have learned a lot in the last 3 years about the challenges of growing in the high desert. Help!

Hi Kristen,

Do you have any photos of the raspberries with curling leaves?  Better yet would be a sample!  There are insects (aphids, psyllids, leafhoppers, leafrollers) that can cause leaf curling.  But I would need a sample to confirm.
