Hello, I am hoping you can help identify a bug that has seemed to take over our tree. We usually can identify the bugs in our yard but this one is new and we want to make sure it is safe around our children and is not invasive as we live in a neighborhood where trees are close and could be affected.

What you have observed are probably larvae of the twice- stabbed lady beetle or a closely related species.
