Central Leader Died on Espresso Kentucky Coffee Tree #874443

The central leader on my new espressos Kentucky coffee tree died from heat and under watering while I was away from home. Should I try to restore the central leader or just replace the tree?

Is the cut on the top of the tree from removing the dead central leader? I would suggest leaving it! The tree is young enough that it can create a new central leader.
