Moldy looking tree frogs #874408

Asked June 24, 2024, 11:11 AM EDT

Hello..Hopefully you can help or point me in the right direction. Recently I have found 3 tree frogs all looking as if their limbs are moldy or covered in spider webs. 2 of the frogs were dead. A bug guy sprayed 1 week prior. He told me the active ingredient is lambda cyhalothrin and should not have caused this. Could this be true? Seems highly coincidental. 2 pics attached.

Animal studies on this pesticide did not include frogs.

There are other things that do kill frogs to consider.  They are very dependent on water and if stuck/caught in areas without water they can become desiccated.  There are also other animals that catch them for food, i.e., birds.
