I have a white oak and the initial stake caused damage to the lead branch. It is now bent. Would it be better to use a tape to strengthen it or let it just go? The tree is about 10 feet tall and I would really hate to lose it.

An arborist will be able to determine whether support is needed to redirect the leader,
