Where can I buy ethylene gas cans in the U.S.? My mangoes have a lot of spongy tissue. I read I should harvest them early and ripen with ethylene gas. In our case, every Alphonso mango has a problem inside! Outside looks fine. See attached photos. Is this a case of Spongy Tissue? The tree is big. We get over 200 mangoes each year. It is sad that all mangoes are almost inedible! Please help.
Spongy tissue occurs because of the tree staying too hot, I read. Would thinning the canopy help?
What is the best fertilizer for mangoes? 100% Potassium or 8-3-9?
