What is taking over my persimmon tree? #874196

Please let me know how to get rid of it safely without hurting the tree (or good bugs, birds, etc).

This is called tent caterpillars. If you tear the tents open, the birds will feed on them.

The caterpillars will feed on the leaves if you don’t control them.
