making vegetable soup and canning #874162

I would like to make vegetable soup can I use beef broth (bought) and add to vegetables instead of water? Then process as stated? Also can barley be added?

Hi, you can use purchased beef broth, but you will need to wait and add the barley when you consume the canned soup - do not add to it before canning.  More general information on canning soup can be found here: https://nchfp.uga.edu/how/can/canning-vegetables-and-vegetable-products/soups/
Soups do require pressure canning also.
