Blueberry care #874047

Asked June 21, 2024, 10:45 AM EDT

We have 270 old blueberry bushes (planted in 1972). Early Blue, Blueray, Berkeley and Herbert rows. We need some help with disease control. Red leaf spots and some die off. Can someone come out and evaluate?

Expert Response

Could be a lot of different things. Lets start with the first main question to ask: what is the pH of the soil around these plants? If it is not in the acidic range then you know the problem. https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/blueberry-vaccinium-corymbosum-incorrect-soil-ph

After that we will need to inquire about root rots, nutritional care, etc....
