Can you please identify this bug? #873853

I am sorry I do not have a coin to add to picture. The size of bug from my estimation is 2".

This looks like a beetle, but unfortunately we can't zoom-in or see enough detail to determine what kind of beetle. (Beetles are a huge group within the insects, and many hundreds of species occur in Maryland.) It might be one of the types that feeds in rotting wood (like fallen trees or snags), but we can't be certain.
