I have a vegetable garden that looks sick. The upper portions of plants turn yellow and get more pale until they are white. I have sprayed them with 'Seven' but I don't like to put anything on if it is possible. Today I walked down the road and saw plants in the ditch with the same symptoms. I was not sure if this is an insect pest or the condition of the soil. I'm more convinced that it is a pest, but want to treat things correctly.
