Identify weeds #873622

Asked June 18, 2024, 1:50 PM EDT

Hi - I am a first time pollinator grower. Last summer I covered the grass and killed it on the pollinator garden location. I think I made a mistake by having it covered with some topsoil just before I seeded in the fall and there were some weeds in the top soil. I seeded with a mixed Prairie Pollinator Seed. The plants are all growing now and i have tried to identify them with PlantNet to see if they are pollinators. So far PlantNet states most of them are, however, I would sure love if someone in Duluth who has experience with this would be willing to take a quick look at the growing garden and give some advice on what if anything I should pull. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for reaching out! I would recommend you contact the St. Louis County Master Gardener Program. They will have more information about professionals in your area that you can reach out to for plant identification. Here is a link to more information: https://www.stlouiscountymn.gov/departments-a-z/extension-office/garden-farm/master-gardener-program

I hope this helps!
