Tree health #873505

Does the Rochester Extension office offer any help in looking at trees and determining if they need to be cut down/are dying/need some other support? If not, do you know who might? I worry that calling folks who cut down trees for a living may not have the same view about when and if that needs to be done (or when). Thank you.

University of Minnesota Extension does not employ staff who provide the service you mentioned.  Nor does Extension list or vouch for the reliability of companies that do.

However, certified arborists are trained and qualified to evaluate a tree's condition and determine what (if anything) needs to be done to maintain or restore its health.  Arborists will also provide the care service that's needed including removal if that's warranted.
