Blueberry bushes #873482

Asked June 17, 2024, 3:29 PM EDT

I bought a few blueberry plants last year, they did great then this year the branches have not any new blooms, the plants are alive but no leaves, brown stems and no cankers on them. So, I am wondering what is wrong. I did check the PH and its a bit high, 6, I have been trying to lower it but it seems impossible. Can they be late bloomers due to the mild winter we had or are they dormant still? I am also growing them in a self wicking grow bag.

Expert Response

Thank you so much for the prompt response!

I believe it is a combination of mild winter and a bit of high PH soil.

I made sure to get correct ph on my new plant this year and this is a learning process but it all worth it!

Again, thank you.
