White Pine planted too deep? #873416

Asked June 17, 2024, 11:33 AM EDT

Hello! I’m just wondering if you can tell me whether or not my pines are planted too deep. They seem to be producing a lot of pine cones so I’m curious if that’s a sign of stress. I also wonder if you can tell me if my Oakleaf hydrangea has fungal spot and if I need to move it so it doesn’t spread to other plants. Thanks !

Sophie,

After looking at your pictures your first image shows that the tree looks to be planted correctly but you should remove the stake from the tree. On your second image, I noticed that the tree looks to have had some damage in the past as I don't see many branches near the middle of the tree, but other than that, the tree looks healthy and produces cones. As far as your third image and the oak leaf hydrangeas look to have a fungal disease Anthracnose.

Here are some why to treat this problem.
