Asked June 16, 2024, 9:41 PM EDT

I have a swamp white oak (planted last year) that has browning leaves. It's located on a a south side full sun area. It was all green 1 or 2 weeks ago. Thank you!

Expert Response

It is possible your tree has oak wilt
https://extension.umn.edu/plant-diseases/oak-wilt-minnesota. There are a host of other diseases and insects that can cause this as well. I would recommend contacting a local tree care company and requesting an arborist consultation. The arborist can evaluate, diagnose and let you know the needed next steps.
