We believe turf disease of some kind is present, but we can't identify it by viewing the photo.
Although many online resources are designed to help identify turf disease, non-specialists aren't likely to find them useful. Here is an example:

Consequently, for a certain diagnosis, we recommend sending turf samples to the University of Wisconsin Turfgrass Diagnostic Laboratory.

The yew may be exhibiting normal seasonal needle drop. That's likely the case if the inner most needles are turning yellow and dropping while outermost needles remain green.
