My hydrangeas are very old and large plants.Beginning last year some of the leaves started to look yellow and curling in the spring. They seem to be worse at the top of the wood and kind of growing in small clusters. Many of the leaves are looking fine and more blooms this year but the problem is growing. I can see yellow on the tips of some of the large healthy leaves beginning. They have morning sun and afternoon shade. I fertilized this spring and applied iron a week ago. The problem seems to be getting worse and now a see some leaves in a garden about 30 ft away having the same issue. We have had lots of rain. I sure appreciate you help. Can't get any answers even in web search.

The yellowing leaves are from a soil that has too high a pH, it can also happen when there is a lot of rain.

Because your bushes are old I would suspect overwatering because of all the rain.
pH can be tested and if the pH of your soil is high there are soil treatments.
