Why do I have purple veins on my cherry tomatoe leaves? Mainly new growth.

Expert Response

Thanks for your question.   Cherry tomatoes are so tasty when eaten right off the plant!

Purplish veins in the leaves could be the result of low soil temperatures which can make it difficult for the roots to absorb sufficient potassium and phosphorus from the soil.

This should improve once the soil warms up some, but you might want to try applying a low dose of liquid organic fertilizer.   See if you get some improvement in color with 7-10 days.
