tree trimming #873214

Asked June 15, 2024, 11:03 AM EDT

Can I trim my Colorado Spruce and my Pin Oak Tree this time of year? I've read where you should only do this in the winter. The spruce tree needs branches cut off at the bottom and the oak just needs to have some unruly branches cut off. I really would like to do it now but I don't want to damage the tree. Also, if I were to trim would I need to put some type of bandage on the tree to protect it? Thanks.
