I have a garden with many plants to attract hummingbirds. Unfortunately, the bees keep multiplying around the hummingbird feeder. What can I do to deter the bees. They are so bad that I can not garden-in that area. What can I do?

I'm assuming these are honey bees based on the numbers that you describe. I'm not aware of any strategies to exclude honey bees and keep hummingbirds beyond getting rid of the feeder. If there is a beehive in the area, they will sometimes gather around water or sugar sources, especially in drier conditions.
You could try taking it down for a week and seeing if the bees search elsewhere for a source of nutrition.
