I recently bought a house in Bend and found out that our HOA requires at least 60% turf grass in our front yard. I want to petition this because turf grass is a water intensive plant and we live in the desert, and this rule seems arcane and unsustainable to me. I was wondering if the extension office has any advice or knows of any precedence of fighting an HOA on grass requirements? Thanks!
