I wasn't planting anything because if I water from the hose, the vegetables will contain a dangerous amount of mangenese in them. Is this right?

Expert Response
We have consulted with an expert at the University. This is her answer:
Excess manganese in water would not transfer to the plants and be a
concern, since uptake by plants is very low for chemical contaminants
such as this. As far as I am aware this would not pose a risk to humans
who would then eat the plants.
