An Insect latched to my dogs nose the other day. It was hard to pull off sort of like a tick, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a tick from looking at it. I think I counted eight legs, but not completely sure. Just wondering what it is.

Hi,
Unfortunately the insect is too dried up or squished to be able to tell what it is. If your dog seems in good health, it could have just been something that hitched on for a ride. If there are any bumps or any other marks of concern, the vet is a good place to ask next.

Alright. Thank you. This thing latched on her to her like a tick and it looked spider like. It was difficult to pull off of her nose. 8 legs I’m pretty sure. Any idea what it could’ve been with that info? Here’s a video
