What tree is this in my yard? And what (if anything) do I do about the suckers? #872970

Hello, I have a short sort of mushroom shaped ornamental tree in my yard and I don't know what it is. It blooms white in April then has clusters of green berries that mature to red. It also has a lot of suckers around it. Do I have to do anything about that? If so, what? I've attached photos of it in bloom, a photo now, and a close up of the leaves. Thank you! Laura

Hi Laura
Thank you for your gardening question. It appears to me that you have an ornamental crab tree. It looks like a very pretty tree. You do need to keep the suckers cut back to the ground or below. It will help the tree look nice and keep the energy into the tree vs the suckers. Here is an article on growing crabapples you may find helpful.
