Reporting Scarlet Lily Leef Beetle #872876

Found two Scarlet Lily leaf beetles on my lily single planted in front yard Old West Side Ann Arbor. Took photos a couple days ago but just learned now what they are and that you want people to report locations.

What’s being done in Michigan?

Scientists at Michigan State University are planning to implement a similar biological control program that was successful on the East Coast. To have the greatest impact, we must identify locations in Michigan where feeding damage by this beetle is most severe. Gardeners with lilies are requested to report any finds of the scarlet lily beetle along with photos of plant damage to the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network. This data will be used to determine the optimal locations for releases of parasitoid wasps
