Invasive Trumpet Vine #872815

Asked June 12, 2024, 2:11 PM EDT

Do you have any advice on how to deal with an extremely invasive trumpet vine? It originated in a neighbors yard over my back privacy fence. It has now spread and invaded four yards! It is MASSIVE!

Expert Response

Cut the vines down to ground level and paint the cut ends of the vine with an herbicide that contains glysophate. Smaller vines can be pulled out by the roots. Each year keep an eye out for the emergence of new small vines that can be pulled out.
