Good morning! I am the coordinator for a community garden. One of our gardeners has a tomato plant that has new growth changing color and shriveling. We have not seen this before and are reaching out to you for possible help.
Our garden is organic and chemical pesticide free. The water we use is donated by the city and comes directly by hose.
The other tomato plants, about a dozen, are healthy and doing fine. All plants were purchased from a local nursery.
Thank you so much for your help!

Expert Response
Hi Judy, thanks for the question.
Just looking at the pictures, two possibilities seem to fit. One is Beet Curly Top Virus (BCTV) which is vectored by the Beet Leaf Hopper. The other is pesticide exposure. This can happen for a insufficiently cleaned sprayer, volatilization, or drift. In the case of BCTV, pulling the plant is usually suggested. With pesticide exposure it is more a wait and see, some plants recover.
I hope this helps.
Thank you so much! We appreciate your time.
Judy
