Submerged plants for clay soils #872734

I reside in an area that was once a bog. The “soil” is primarily thick, solid clay with a depth of at least 3 feet is beneath a level of imported topsoil. Recently, my deck rotted and had to be rebuilt. In the process, excavation was necessary to povide clearance between the deck and the soil and around the edge of the deck. As a result, I now have a moat around my deck. I’d like to fill the moat with plants as a moat isn’t the aesthetic I was going for. Would you please send me a list of native / other plants that thrive in submerged clay soils in SouthCentral Alaska?
Thank you so much!
