The roseslugs are likely gone by now. Do you still see green worms on the leaves? Look at the underside of the leaves too. If you see them, spray. Otherwise, start checking rose leaves next May.
If you use sevin do so at dusk when pollinators aren't active. Sevin kills many beneficial insects.
