Basil and cucumber issues #872482

I have outdoor raised beds with basil and cucumbers that are really struggling with this wet and cool spring weather. All my cucumbers starts died and seeds didn't germinate. I want to try again but fear it is still getting too cold at night. And my basil are turning yellow and dying. I would love advice on how to get these to work as we still deal with this year's strange spring weather.
Thanks.

Yes, our changing weather patterns are creating some real problems. One major help is to take the soil temperature before seeding or transplanting to be sure it is warm enough. In most of our area warm season crops are OK now, but you were planting them too early. Also, if the nights are running too cool, row covers, cloches etc will get them all through safely.
