Hello. Can you tell us what might be going on with our tree. There are black edges around the leaves. It seems widespread. We have the tree trimmed professionally, but haven't done so for several years.

This may be anthracnose. Although unsightly, this usually doesn't cause permanent damage to the tree and doesn't need treatment. For detailed information, read the following links:
