Bittersweet Vine yellowing leaves #872439

Client would like to know what is causing the yellowing and curling of the leaves on the bittersweet vine.

Hello Kathy,
It appears that your plant is an American bittersweet vine
(Celastrus scandens)All parts of the plant are poisonous to humans and can cause problems for dogs, cats, and horses.


Yellowing leaves are a common ailment among plants, but the causes of yellowing (chlorosis) can be for different reasons. It occurs when the plant is unable to take up needed nutrients. The root system may be damaged, the pH is unsuitable for the plant, or the soil lacks sufficient nutrients. A soil test would be able to identify soil problems. 

You didn't indicate anything about your plant. How long have you had it? Do you fertilize regularly? Has any herbicide been sprayed near the plant? How is it pruned?
