White leggy spring blooming flower #872393

Asked June 10, 2024, 11:32 AM EDT

Hello, this flower that has a bulb at the base of the flower part showed up in my west facing Garden this spring. I think it is a perennial. Could someone provide the Latin name and cultivar if any? Thank you.

Good Morning,
My colleague suggests that it may be

White campion (white cockle) – Silene latifolia - Plant & Pest Diagnostics (msu.edu)

Best of luck.
