So what do I have here? They are starting to turn blue. The grapes on the same plants are tiny right now.
Freak of nature? Can't wait to taste them.
Hello again,
I'll admit the fruit does look strange, but I can't tell you more from photos. If you can bring a sample (including both leaves and fruit) into the Extension office, we may be able to learn more with closer inspection.
The Help Desk at the Marion County Extension office is generally open from 9am to 1pm, Mon-Fri. @ 1320 Capitol St NE #110, Salem, OR 97301 Phone: 503.373.3770
Alternatively, you can visit the Marion County Demonstration Garden @ 3180 Center St NE, Salem OR 97301 (behind the Health Services Building). Master Gardeners are there on Monday and Saturday mornings, and often our berry specialists are available.
I'm sorry we can't provide more information at this point, but then nature always holds surprises.
