How do I get rid of poison ivy? Is there a fact sheet for it?

Thank you for contacting us regarding your question.  Although poison ivy is a native plant and has benefits for our wildlife, many people try to find ways to rid their landscape of this plant.  The first step in removal is making sure you have identified the plant correctly.  There are several plants that are that are similar, but do not have the same reaction in people.  Methods can vary, especially depending on the amount of this plant you have.  Mowing, pruning, sawing and tilling are effective if repeated and maintained, and replacement plants introduced.  There are also chemical options.  There are two factsheets that may help you decide the best method for you.
