Pollination Question #872255
Asked June 09, 2024, 10:09 AM EDT
Hi-
I live in Coon Rapids and we have a Mount Royal (dwarf) plum tree that has produced a lot of fruit every year. We just bought a Superior plum tree and I realized after the purchase that it is a japanese/american hybrid. Is there any chance that the Mount Royal will be able to pollinate the Superior, or do I need to invest in another plum tree - and what would you suggest?
Thanks-

No the Superior will not pollinate with a Mount Royal.
The Superior needs an Alderman, Toka, P. Americana or a P. Nigra.
There may be others. You can check it out by googling what would pollinate a Superior.
