What kind of bug is this? Can they bite? It was stuck on my arm like a tick, I had to remove it like you would a tick and it left a small red raised dot/ blister

Hello,
This is a weevil (family Curculionidae). I can tell because of the long snout (aka rostrum). They cannot bite. These insects are not medically relevant, feeding exclusively on plants. I'm not sure how this insect factored into your blister, but I would consult a medical professional about that. It may have been an allergic reaction to the insect or something on it.
