I feel this beautiful tree needs to be thinned so the wind will go through it. My husband disagrees. I don’t want to lose this beautiful tree. What are your thoughts on trimming?

Trees don't need to be thinned. Here are reasons to prune a tree:

Pruning so the wind goes through is not one of the reasons. However, if there are branches that are crossing and rubbing together, these should be pruned.
