This is most likely bear scat, from the pictures you submitted. It may have a fruity or neutral smell debending on what the bear ate. If there was more meat in it's diet, it won't smell as pleasant.

Awesome thanks, that's what we thought! Neutral smell. Was pretty fresh. Found multiple piles. Do we have to alert ODNR/Wildlife or anything?
