For more than 15 years, I have had a lawn of vinca. This spring I have an infestation of grass and some other weeds. How can I get rid of the weeds and grass without killing the vinca? I tried pulling it out but unsuccessfully.

Unfortunately, materials which will kill grass and weeds will kill the vinca. In early spring vinca can be mowed down to gain access to the unwanted weeds and grasses. However, done at any other time of the year would set the plants back greatly. When the vinca is dormant, you can weed more easily also.
