Expert Response

To have blossom drop with squash plants early in the season can be very normal. If these are male flowers, they drop if there are not many female flowers. I have sent a link.

If both male and female flowers are dropping it may be caused by temperature fluctuations and pollinator activity. I think you are alright to keep the plants in the containers as long as you provide water and fertilizer in appropriate amounts.
