Bruce:  Thanks for your question.  There are several potential causes of the spots on your cherries.  However, I will need some pictures in order to better diagnosis what may be going on.  Please send some close-ups of the outside of an affected cherry and also slice one open and send a picture of the insides.  Both fungus and insects are potential culprits.  Unfortunately there is probably nothing you can do this year to save your crop, but once we identify the cause, preventive measures might be taken to prevent a reoccurrence next year.
