Mature elm tree has hundreds of small white/yellowish type worms dropping. What is the treatment for elm tree worms?

If you are able, please send us photos of the worms - both on the tree and those that have fallen, and include at least one close-up. Additionally, please send a photo of the entire tree, and an area on the tree where you are noticing the worms.

A couple of questions:
- is this the first year you've had the problem? when did you first notice the worms this year?
- is there any damage to the tree or leaves? i.e. holes in the bark, chewing on leaves, etc.?
