Would you help me ID this weed? #871801

Dear Colorado State Extension Service,
We have the following weed on parts of our property near Wellington and would like to know what it is. It would also be helpful to know if it is toxic to horses and the best way to get rid of it.

It looks like a vetch, but there are many types. Could you bring a sizeable sample to our office? Our ag specialist, Jess Callen, will identify it for you.
The office is located at 1525 Blue Spruce Drive in Fort Collins, 80524.
We are open M-F from 8am-4:30pm, but will be closed tomorrow, 6/7, after 12pm for a staff retirement party.
