Asked June 05, 2024, 5:40 PM EDT

Hi, I live in Alexandria MN. I have been trying to ID a woody shrub or dwarf tree in my yard. I can not figure it out. It is a woody tall shrub much like dogwood. This grows very fast in a wet area. The leaves are very odd to me. Can you please help me? Thank you so much!

Thank you for reaching out to ask2.extension.

This is a  Cranberry Bush or Viburnum.  They typically grow to over 6’ tall and wide.  They like part to full sun and flower in the spring.  It is a hardy shrub for our area.

If you want more info on how to take care of it, google viburnum.
