I have been learning more lately about native versus invasive plants. I am worried the large row of privacy trees next to me is buckthorn. Which is dangerous for the birds and plants I am trying to help. Can you help me identify?

The leaves certainly look suspiciously like buckthorn. There are a few more checks that can done before deciding to take down the hedge since it is a big decision. Please check the links.
