I have a small mound in about an 18 foot diameter circle. My strawberry plants seem healthy - good height, no spots, runners are not dark or black. Generally, i have a healthy amount of bees in my yard as well from a large number of complementary flowers - cat mint, sage, delphiniums, etc.
Last year, and seemingly this year, the pattern is a good deal of flowers generally arriving in May. But when the petals drop, there are very few fruits. Is there something I should be doing?

Expert Response
It is possible that your strawberries get damaged by cold spring temperatures particularly if you grow June-bearing strawberries and that's why you have flowers but no fruit. This spring in Denver saw a lot of fluctuating hot and cold temperatures in May, and nighttime temperatures stayed cool for a long time.
