I’m wondering if either of the plants in the description are comfrey. Comfrey is a sometimes classified as a “dynamic accumulator” in permaculture. If it is not comfrey pictured, then May I ask what it is and where I can purchase starts or cuttings? Thanks

Hi Frank,
Unfortunately, the photos are a little too blurry to properly identify, but I don't believe this is comfrey. Can you take new photos? You're welcome to email me directly: <personal data hidden>
Or the Master Gardeners will be in the office tomorrow from 10am-1pm, 1525 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, 80524. If you need help finding our office, you can call<personal data hidden>.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) should have hollow stems, smooth leaf margins, some hairs on the leaves, and the stems are densely covered in hairs. The flowers also descend, and the ones in your photo are upright.
What you've photographed looks more like one of the alfalfas (Medicago sativa).
