My 7' spruce is stressed out.The new growth is yellowing and turning brown.There are identical trees planted 8' on either side,they aren't affected.I found this odd looking pinecone thing on one of the branches.Help.

Can you send some pictures to help with the diagnosis? Here is some information that may help. You can also have an arborist come out and assess your tree. Another option is to send in a sample for a firm diagnosis.
